Normal Or Hard

Difficulties

Siege runs at one of two difficulties:

Normal: The standard run. Most brothers file at this difficulty.
Hard: Sharper enemies; less margin for error. Pays more per wave cleared.

If difficulty is not properly determined, the system will allow you to select it from a dropdown.

Why The Outcome Is Always Defeat

The Defeat By Design

Siege has no win condition. The wall holds until it does not. Every report is filed as a Defeat with a wave count attached. The Cogitator credits geld by waves cleared and by total score; reaching wave 12 pays well, reaching wave 20 pays much more.

Do not be discouragedA Siege defeat is not a failure. The defeat is the mission. A brother who falls at wave 18 has out-served the brother who falls at wave 8, but both ultimately had their duty end.

What To Submit

Siege uses the same Operative Data screens as PvE, plus one screen unique to this theatre: the Pause Briefing. The Cogitator reads difficulty and mission name from the pause screen, then pulls kills, damage, and wave count from each brother's Operative Data.

Pause Briefing · Mission and Difficulty — The Cogitator reads Normal or Hard from the top-left of the pause screen.

Operative Data · Per-Brother Stats — Personal stats plus the wave reached in the top-left. Class detection is automatic.

FAQ

I switched class mid-run. What does the report show?

The Operative Data screen at the end fixes which class the Cogitator credits. Mid-run switches are not tracked separately.

The pause-screen - where should I capture it?

At any point in the mission. Suggestion is to take it the moment you load in so that you do not forget to take a picture.

We made it to wave 30. Is that the most?

Probably not. The chapter records every brother's maximum; check the leaderboards on the Stats tab. Then go further next run.

Does Siege count for the same oaths as Operations?

Some oaths are theatre-agnostic and accept any AAR; others are scoped to PvE Operations only. Read the oath template wording on the swearing panel.

Can I file a Siege run my squad already filed?

No. One report per run. If you were in the squad, that report's tagged you and your stats are already attached. If you were not tagged, ask the submitter to amend.
