Announcement Pulses

Instant Feedback

A Pulse is the transient card that fades into the bottom-right of the screen when the chapter takes notice of something — an oath honoured, a rank purchased, a brother stepping onto a new front. It announces itself for ten seconds and then quietly fades. A single click dismisses it early.

Pulses are local to the browser you receive them in. Each pulse will only toast once per device: if you reload or come back the next morning, the same notification will not re-flood the rail. It does, however, continue to live in your Vox-Net feed for twenty-four hours so the chapter's history is never lost behind a missed glance.

Pulses sit alongside the heavier Dispatches covered in the next section. Where a pulse is a glimpse — the chapter noticing something and moving on — a dispatch is a standing announcement that holds its place on the rail until you dismiss it.

Announcements

General & Vox Dominus

The Announcements feed gathers chapter news as it arrives. Two distinct announcement types flow through this column, each marked on the card so you can tell at a glance who is speaking and how much weight the message carries.

General
Day-to-day transmissions from chapter command — campaign updates, recognition for service, news from the front, the chatter that keeps the chapter informed. Most come from ranking officers; some are written by the Cogitator.
Vox Dominus
Weighty announcements from chapter command. Every commission taken is announced here, alongside the broader transmissions on the state of Imperium Nihilus: campaign turns, sector shifts, recognitions of service, the news every brother should know.
Dispatch Card · Signal FormatDispatch Card · Signal Format
A typical dispatch: header line, body text, optional image, source officer. The chapter signature stamps the close.

Calendar

When The Chapter Musters

The Calendar collects every coordinated event on the chapter's schedule, from one-off operations to the long-running campaigns. Open the calendar page for the full view; the main Vox-Net feed surfaces only the nearest upcoming entries.

Discord Events
Voice-channel sessions hosted on the chapter's Discord — casual squads forming up, listen-only musters, and the like. The Cogitator mirrors these so brothers see them in the feed regardless of which side of the bot they live on.
Site Events
Planned operations and chapter musters created from within Vox-Net itself. Mark intent (attending, maybe, not attending) so the host knows roughly how many to plan for.
Recurring RPG Series
Long-running Wrath & Glory RPG sessions, weekly fortress defence, regular PvP nights — anything scheduled to repeat on its own cadence.
Section IV

Direct-Vox

Faction-Only Channels

Direct-Vox houses internal communications restricted to your faction. Messages posted here are visible only to brothers of the same faction — useful for plans, coordination, and discussions that should stay within the lines that drew them.

The Cogitator scopes each Direct-Vox feed by faction membership. You see only the channels for the faction your brother is sworn to; brothers of other factions cannot read what you post here.

Section V

How Alerts Surface

The Rail

New transmissions appear as alerts on the navigation rail. The count next to Vox-Net is the number of dispatches you have not yet read. Open the page to mark them seen; the count clears as you scroll past them.

Common Questions

FAQ

I missed an announcement pulse. Are they gone?

No. Pulses, even after dismissal, are moved to the Vox-Net > General tab. Scroll back through the page to find older transmissions; the rail's alert count only marks the unread ones.

Who can post a dispatch?

Most dispatches are generated by the Cogitator. Vox Dominus dispatches are generated by system leads and the Cogitator when a commission is taken; their citation prose may be supplied by the officer who confirmed the rite.

Can I comment on a dispatch?

Some dispatches allow replies; others do not. The author sets that on the dispatch. Where comments are open, you will see a reply control under the body.

How do I add an event to the calendar?

Event creation is gated to event hosts and officers. If you want to host, raise it in the chapter's Discord; an officer will set you up.

Can brothers from other factions read my Direct-Vox?

No. Direct-Vox is scoped to faction membership: only brothers sworn to the same faction can read what you post there. The Cogitator filters the channel list to your faction at sign-in.
